Thank you for reading this document! My name is Evi Janssen, and I would like to inform you about how I process and use your personal data. This way, I not only comply with the obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Telecommunications Act & Cookie Act (future e-Privacy Regulation), but you also know exactly what rights you have.

USE OF YOUR DATA
On my website, www.byevestudio.com, you can provide your (personal) data in various places. If you are a customer of mine, I also collect your (personal) data. I respect the privacy of all my customers, data subjects, and users of my website. This means that the (personal) data I receive is treated confidentially so that it does not fall into the wrong hands. It is important that you are aware of what is done with your (personal) data, what rights you have, and how you can express your wishes regarding your (personal) data to me.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO I COLLECT?
Below is an overview of the personal data I may process about you. The data listed below has been provided by you, can be derived from public registers such as the Chamber of Commerce’s trade register, or can be traced from other public sources, such as social media accounts:

WHY IS PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA NECESSARY?
Processing personal data is not just allowed under current privacy legislation. To process your personal data, I must have determined certain purposes, and I have done so. For example, I may process personal data about you because you purchase my product and/or because you have provided your personal data yourself. The purposes of data processing must also be justified.
Six legal grounds have been established in the GDPR for this purpose, namely:
1 / public interest; 2 / legitimate interest; 3 / vital interests; 4 / based on an agreement;
5 / based on legal obligation; 6 / based on consent.
Please note that data about your activities on my website, your internet browser, and device type, your IP address, and your location data may also be collected and stored, and that these may also be considered personal data in some cases.

SPECIAL AND/OR SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA
I do not process any special and/or sensitive (personal) data about you. Nor do I intend to collect (personal) data about customers and/or website visitors under the age of 16 unless there is consent from parents or guardians.
HOW LONG YOUR DATA IS STORED
I do not store your (personal) data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. I use the following retention periods:
First and last name:
7 years (Tax legislation), to be able to retrieve your data.
Address or PO box details (payment details):
7 years (Tax legislation), to be able to retrieve your data.
Email address:
Indefinite; to be able to inform or contact you.
Social media account name:
Indefinite, unless you delete that data yourself. If you respond, the response remains as long as the message is online. This is indefinite unless you decide that your response should be deleted. When a response is deleted, all personal data is deleted. Nothing is done with the received responses. I see responses as a pleasant form of engagement.
SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES/OTHERS
Your data is not sold to third parties by me. Your information is only provided by me if it is necessary to perform the agreement with you, because you have given consent, or to comply with a legal obligation, although I will always oppose this within the legal frameworks.
If a third party is needed for the assignment, the privacy details will be discussed in advance in writing and/or verbally.
YOUR RIGHT TO ACCESS, AMEND, OR DELETE DATA
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can email these requests to me. I will respond to your request as soon as possible and in any case within one month. If your request is disproportionate or very specific, the period may be extended by two months.
YOUR RIGHTS TO WITHDRAW, OBJECT, AND DATA PORTABILITY
You have the right to withdraw the consent you have given for processing (personal) data or to object to the processing of your personal data by me. You also have the right to data portability, meaning you can request that I send your (personal) data in a computer file to you or an organization you specify.
SECURITY
I take the protection of your (personal) data seriously. Therefore, I take adequate and appropriate measures to prevent, for example, misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification, by taking physical, administrative, organizational, and technical measures.
For example, I do not make physical copies of your (personal) data. Your data is only managed in the mentioned systems and/or software. My website uses a reliable SSL certificate to ensure that your (personal) data does not fall into the wrong hands. The SSL certificate also means that your connection to my website is private. You can always see and check this in the address bar by the ‘https’ and the padlock in the address bar.
Furthermore, I use known secure Wi-Fi networks unless this is not possible for reasons. The devices and smartphones I use are always locked with a password and fingerprint and/or facial recognition. I regularly update the plugins and theme of my website, and I use an antivirus system for incoming and outgoing emails. The number of devices that have access to your data is limited to only the necessary devices. These are a laptop and sometimes a phone with login security via a password. In addition, the used systems are also all secured with a password.
